What is the Xtream Codes API?
A common format IPTV providers use to deliver a subscription through three values: the server URL (usually http://host:port), a username and a password. The app uses them to load channels by category, movies and series, and the programme guide.
How to sign in to RODX
On the sign-in screen choose Xtream Codes and enter the three values. On a TV choose “Sign in from phone” and scan the code to type them on your phone. If your provider sent one long link, paste it in the “Have a subscription link?” box and the app fills the fields.
What you get
Live channels in your provider's categories with favourites and search, an EPG with now-and-next and the full schedule, movies with posters, ratings and cast from TMDB, and series with seasons and episodes plus continue watching.
Common problems
“Invalid server URL”: make sure it starts with http:// or https:// and includes the port if there is one. “Account expired or not working”: accounts expire or reach the connection limit at the provider; check with them. “Channels will not load”: a slow provider or weak network; try reloading from Settings, and see fix IPTV buffering.
Frequently asked questions
Is Xtream Codes different from M3U?
M3U is a static file list, while Xtream Codes is a live API that gives categories, the guide and title details. The app supports both; here is the comparison.
Does the EPG need a separate link?
No, with Xtream Codes the guide comes from the same server automatically.
